DETECTIVE AGENCY
About the BBDA
Murder. Mayhem. Tea?
After getting hit by a Meat Cakes food truck and witnessing his fiancée kiss someone else, Tim Bremington is officially at his breaking point. Desperate for answers, he reluctantly hires young and free-spirited private investigator Rose Kachel to confirm the infidelity, only for her to uncover evidence that may link his fiancée and her family to a recent murder.
The deeper Tim and Rose dig, the faster the case turns dangerous. The murder is tied to a family desperate to stay together, secrets no one is willing to confess, and a truth that puts both of them directly in the killer’s path.
Rose must balance the physical limits of her chronic illnesses with the demands of a case she can’t walk away from, while Tim is forced to confront how much he ignored in his relationship and how much he still has to lose.
If they don’t learn to trust each other quickly, the investigation will cost more than a broken engagement—it may cost one of them their lives.
Welcome to Portland, Oregon. Things are about to get weird.

About the Author
Mo Montgomery (she/her) is a neurodivergent (dyslexic), chronically ill, and disabled writer. The Bluebell Detective Agency is her first book in what she hopes will be an ongoing series. She resides in lovely Portland, Oregon, with her husband Will, their two cats/overlords, a plethora of half-dead houseplants (RIP), and a growing herd of dust bunnies. Mo’s been a newspaper reporter, a columnist, taught college courses, and currently works for a wildlife nonprofit. Like Rose, she also has Ankylosing Spondylitis. Mo has been known to dance in her kitchen while eating, resulting in her nearly choking to death multiple times. She does not recommend you try it.
